勇者 tells Brint to go ahead, but be careful. Brint inspects the 护甲 and notes that the 护甲 is made of bronze painted gold, and begins to don the 护甲, which automatically straps itself to him, fitting him perfectly. Despite this strangeness, Brint equips the remaining pieces until only the 颈部-piece, a solid golden 戒指, remains. Brint states that he knows how to put it on and pushes the 戒指 against his 颈部; the 戒指 seems to pass through his body, solidifying on the 其他 side. Brint immediately staggers, but recovers once the 队伍 makes their way outside.

探索 马人族村庄 西北方更深处的丰收谷时，勇者会发现一座高崖，崖边垂挂着茂密的绿植。勇者注意到其中有些不对劲：根须垂得异常笔直。如果满足以下任一条件，勇者就可以调查并进入隐藏在绿植后的洞窟：

  • 布林特 在队伍中，可以把勇者托上去；

  • 勇者拥有 露营用品，可以借此攀过悬崖。

勇者现在可以选择带布林特去找桑德斯兄弟检查，或暂时等待观察。勇者在任务进行期间进入科尔米诺斯郊外时，还会触发一条隐藏的第三路线。

如果勇者在进入 任务状态 4 之前的任何时候带布林特去找桑德斯兄弟，牧师菜单中就会出现询问护甲的选项。

布林特变成布里恩

在布林特的房间里

如果勇者没有请桑德斯兄弟移除护甲，那么至少再经过两个游戏内夜晚后，并且布林特在队伍中，勇者下次进入霜犬酒馆时牛头人就会倒下。（勇者可以不带布林特进入霜犬酒馆而不触发他倒下；也可以在霜犬酒馆拜访不在队伍中的布林特而不触发他倒下；还可以在其他地方睡觉而不触发他倒下，因此可以“延长”疯牛任务进入最终阶段的时间。不过，如果所有条件都满足，疯牛任务的结束场景会优先于霜犬酒馆的其他场景。）

如果队伍中还有其他成员，勇者会和对方一起把布林特拖到霜犬酒馆的床上，勇者留下来监视昏迷的牛头人。突然，受诅咒的护甲发出耀眼光芒，迫使勇者移开视线。像链条碰撞般的声音重新吸引了注意：护甲化为尘埃与光芒消散，只留下穿着普通衣服、昏迷不醒的布林特。片刻后，他开始变成一名牛女。变身完成后，女孩醒来，说自己做了最奇怪的梦。勇者有两个选项：

布里恩让勇者独自回到霜犬酒馆，自己留下来把木头砍完。当她在霜犬酒馆酒吧与勇者会合时，加思叫她过去，她不好意思地去找格温要一件上衣。穿好衣服后，她回到勇者身边，举起酒杯，庆祝更多冒险。

勇者没有等待介绍，直接与牛女性交直到她高潮。勇者自己也高潮后，牛女说她不记得勇者以前这么野性，勇者回答说自己情不自禁。牛女用床单裹住身体，说要去看看自己是否还能战斗。当勇者问她的新名字时，她耸耸肩，选择了“布里恩”，随后离开。

如果勇者带着仍在任务进行中的布林特进入科尔米诺斯郊外，金色护甲会闪烁、裂开并从他身上脱落，最后在地面上化为尘埃，布林特显然松了一口气。

如果勇者进入科尔米诺斯郊外时，仍在任务进行中的布林特正住在霜犬酒馆，那么下次勇者进入霜犬酒馆时，穿着普通衣服的牛头人会在门口高兴地迎接。护甲在勇者前往科尔米诺斯附近的那段时间里，于布林特熟睡时自行消失了。他很高兴终于能不受打扰地睡觉。

如果勇者尚未开始任务就进入科尔米诺斯郊外，返回丰收谷洞窟所在的地块时会发现，最近的一场泥石流已经让进一步探索变得不可能。如果那里原本有一处藏着战利品的洞穴，现在也已经永远失去了。

如果勇者没有让 桑德斯兄弟 从 布林特 身上移除护甲，也没有在任务最终阶段前进入科尔米诺斯郊外，布林特就会变成 布里恩。这一效果不可逆。
