薇薇安是一名女巫或附魔师，勇者最初会在梦境中遇见她。之后夜间探索旧森林时，她会乘着移动屋穿过森林，成为可遇到的角色。

外貌

女巫散发着从容自信，斜靠在破旧木椅上，一条腿搭在另一条腿上，脸上带着坏笑。虽然她坐着很难判断，你估计薇薇安约 5 英尺 11 英寸高；据你所见，她完全是人类。红发轻轻落在肩上，与明亮的翡翠色双眼相得益彰，也衬托出深紫色嘴唇。大部分头发藏在一顶巨大的黑色女巫帽下。

首次遇到薇薇安时，在探索旧森林期间必须满足以下条件：

满足条件后，勇者穿过森林时，树叶沙沙声打断思绪，声音越来越大、越来越近，还夹杂着吱呀作响的地板声。勇者拔出武器面对逐渐增强的声音；若拥有裂瞳或凯特在队伍中，就能看出有巨大物体正朝你靠近。声音最终停下，噪音来源显现为一座房屋：“它由六根巨大的树根托起，树根都连接到房屋底部，仿佛是地基的一部分。”移动屋在附近停稳，缓缓降到地面；门打开后，露出一名女性身影。

女巫会向勇者打招呼；若你当前穿着女巫帽或女巫束腰，她会评论你找到了她的旧衣服，并询问你为何来到森林。根据你在追随她的脚步中的进度，勇者会回答当前任务；她会说那听起来相当艰难，然后自我介绍并询问勇者的名字。寒暄结束后，薇薇安表示虽然帮不上旅途的忙，却可以招待你，甚至让你实现梦境。随后可用以下选项：

• 进入——接受女巫的邀请。
• 离开——婉拒她的好意。

接受邀请后，勇者会跟随她进入移动屋，她会带你到客厅。（选项见下文）

后续遭遇

后续遭遇薇薇安时，勇者会再次看到她的移动屋。房屋停稳后，薇薇安从屋内迎接勇者。随后可用以下选项：

谈到自己时，薇薇安先说明，别人根据习惯会称她为女巫、法师或附魔师，但归根结底都差不多。她回忆自己小时候由母亲训练、学习魔法；母亲没有教的，她就自学。如果启用愚人模式且凯特在场，她会说母亲也一样，把自己会的吸鸡巴技巧全教给她，薇薇安听后会咯咯发笑。勇者问起她的父亲，她解释说自己从没见过父亲，因为那只是母亲睡过一两次的人。接着勇者问她如今作为女巫在做什么；若拥有奥术师出身，还会说自己大概了解一些，毕竟老师是乡野女巫，但想听更具体的内容。薇薇安承认大部分时间都在研究新的附魔仪式，并以此为傲，但隐居生活没有给她留下做其他事情的空间。她还会制作药水，偶尔卖给遇到的稀有旅客；可惜现在材料用光了，否则也会向勇者提供。

询问束腰时，薇薇安解释说，这是她刚学会制作、附魔服装时做的第一批衣服之一。当时她对自己的“女性资产”不满意，想一举两得；后来用不上了，就把它留在那里等待有缘人发现。她自豪地说束腰是自己缝制的，因此魔力才如此强大，制作时考虑的细节也让她颇为得意。如果勇者穿过束腰，会提到除了普通魔法外还注意到服装的弹性；否则会说它有魔法，并询问还能做什么。薇薇安解释，她用软泥进行附魔，因为软泥可以随意改变形状；束腰的弹性来自软泥，只要没有碎成几块，它甚至能自我修复。黑魔法师、白魔法师或魅惑师勇者会注意到穿上它后法术威力提升，或发现整套服装都散发魔力；其他人也能凭不熟练的手感判断服装中流淌着魔力。薇薇安说明，附魔通常会提高物品的魔力效能，这就是许多法师（包括她自己）穿附魔服装、使用附魔媒介的原因。

当被问到如何进入勇者梦境时，她解释说自己在探索古代遗迹时找到一本严重损坏的技能书，学会了进入他人梦境并随意塑形的方法。如果勇者曾经历卡西拉出现在梦境中的事件（击败曼陀罗女妖后，她含糊提到未来还会发生更多事情），就会怀疑这是否与卡西拉进入并操纵梦境的魔法相同；否则会好奇是否还有其他人知道这种魔法。薇薇安回答说她不知道其他人，但并非不可能；据她所知，这种技能大多时候没什么用。被问到原理时，她解释自己不能随意跳进任何人的梦境：必须有连接双方的物品，或处于魔力特别强的一晚。对勇者而言，那件服装就是连接；双方都曾是服装持有者，因此很容易建立联系。至于为何进入你的梦境，她装出无辜，说只是好奇；但她认为你像一座魔力信标，迫切想知道究竟是谁或什么东西接触了如此多的原始魔力，而一旦见到你，她就无法抗拒送你一场小小梦境礼物的冲动。
