龙胆是一位博物学家，白天负责照料神社庭院，晚上则研究边境地区的植物。她如今严重毁容且一只眼睛失明，是因为十三岁时寝室里发生的一场火灾。

外貌

五十岚龙胆身高约五英尺二英寸，对她所属族群的女性而言正好算平均。不过，她穿着厚底木屐，看起来比实际身高略高。你或许会猜她是否介意自己的身高，但她显然并不在意外貌的任何一部分。她身穿白色布料裹胸与长及小腿、脚踝的百褶裙，裙摆绣着火焰图案；前襟敞开，整套服装靠腰间打结的布带固定，看上去很像美子和舞所穿的巫女服。当然，白紫配色说明她并非真正的巫女，但相似之处仍然存在。她对审美颇有眼光，这身打扮大概也是为了更好地融入自然环境而刻意选择的。

龙胆出生于旧国一个中下层狐妖家庭。她刚出生不久便因一头白发与白色毛发，以及脸上的神性印记而受到特别关注。这类神圣血脉的标志几乎总是出现在狐妖大贵族的宗家或分家身上，极少会在自称拥有其血统的普通家庭中显现，而龙胆家正是这种罕见例外。至少，这层亲缘还算说得通，不至于让人当面指责她的母亲不贞、她是私生女。社会认可的处理方式，是让受祝福者嫁入其居住领地的领主家族；因此，龙胆年幼时便被安排与最近的狐妖贵族旁支订婚。对她和家人而言，这本来是可以接受的结果：按照惯例，她的家族能从未婚夫家族那里得到相当多的特权，过上比原本舒适得多的生活；龙胆本人也会接受一定教育，为将来进入贵族家庭并从事行政工作做准备。

然而，龙胆十三岁时，熟睡中的寝室突然起火，表面看是倾倒的油灯引发了火灾。除了她以外没有人受伤；她本人却严重毁容，并在被哥哥和一名恰好路过的陌生旅人救出前失去了一只眼睛。当地治安官找不到任何蓄意纵火的证据，尤其那名热心的旅人已经不知所踪，最终只能将此事定性为意外。可是伤害已经造成：婚约很快被取消，金钱与特权也像热锅边的稀唾沫一样迅速蒸发。龙胆的哥哥虽不知道幕后主使是谁，却始终怀疑这场火灾另有隐情，于是建议她远走殖民地避难，至少先保住性命。等她恢复到足以通过传送门旅行后，龙胆便被送往殖民地继续疗养。抵达后，小毬亲自关注了这个重度毁容女孩的遭遇；考虑到龙胆受过教育，小毬把她安排到神社庭院工作。从那以后，她便一直在美子的监督下辛勤劳作。

在殖民地生活多年后，龙胆待人和善，也表面上坦然接受自己的毁容。她认为，与殖民地中一些伤痕更深、破碎得更彻底的人相比，自己的遭遇其实只是小事。

互动

首次遭遇

那只死寂失明的眼睛越是直勾勾地朝着你，胃底翻涌的不适便越发强烈。它呈现出均匀的粉色，仿佛瞳孔中的红色炸裂开来，把全部色彩都流进眼白——你只是、你只是，那实在——

第一次在 8:00 至 18:00 之间经过鸟居门南侧广场时，龙胆会向你问候，并询问是否需要帮助。根据同行者的不同，一名同伴会不怎么隐晦地评价龙胆的外貌，而你可以用几种方式回应。龙胆从容接受了你的反应——以及那句她绝对听见的同伴评论——随后礼貌告辞。

表示同情：你再也忍不住了。尽管才刚认识，看到如此年轻的人严重毁容仍让你心痛不已，不由得对她产生同情。哪怕这份关心来自一个近乎陌生的人，她也应该知道自己并不孤单。
置之不理：如此年轻的人遭受这般毁容，光是看着就令人心痛；但龙胆显然表现得完全正常。她的人生不该由毁容定义，你也应该相应地正常对待她。

如果你已与龙胆发生过性关系、完成机关测试，并且满足以下任一身份：成为狐妖、成为鹰棘镇勇者，或获得边境男爵或边境女男爵头衔，那么下次拜访巢穴主母时就会触发小毬与龙胆的事件。曾导致龙胆毁容并被放逐到殖民地的家族冲突，可能再次活跃起来。小毬、龙胆以及队伍中的清子会解释：若你接纳龙胆为妾，把自己的影响力延伸到她身上，就能在小毬解决事态期间保护她。不过小毬也保证，如果你不愿纳龙胆为妾，她会安排其他办法。

如果接受提议，龙胆便正式成为你的妾室。这件事会低调处理，但你与龙胆的关系从此得到正式承认；绮奴、美子与舞、琥珀以及小毬都会新增关于你这位新伴侣的交谈。龙胆仍在庭院工作并住在巢穴里，不过会出现大量反映关系升级的新对话；加入你的家门后，清子与绮奴也会对她表现出更多关注。

如果拒绝提议，那么七天后，只要清子已经从宝石中获释，下次传送至巢穴界石时，龙胆就会与小毬后代中没有和绮奴订婚的那一位成婚——拥有稻荷绮奴时是中野，拥有狐姬绮奴时则是仁。婚礼后不久，龙胆便会怀上新婚丈夫的孩子，并新增关于配偶和宝宝的对话。

性爱

龙胆唇边掠过一丝浅笑。“那么，[pc.名称]，既然你连我这种人都愿意施以恩惠，我当然不会拒绝。难怪只要你愿意这样把自己送上门来，巢穴里总是欢迎你。”

第一次向龙胆提出性爱时，她会有些犹豫，怀疑你是在假装同情，或另有某种诡计。不过，她还是暂时放下手头剩余的工作，与你进行了一次温柔而亲密的性爱。此后，每天 15:00 至 18:00 之间都可以再次与龙胆幽会。

如果你与龙胆发生过性爱，下次见到她时，她会坐在长椅上凝视一朵花。你、龙胆以及在场的清子会谈论这位伤痕累累的博物学家与她的花朵，并解锁一张 CG。

龙胆的名字源自日本龙胆花。这种花在日本和韩国通常呈蓝色至蓝紫色，但世界其他地区也存在紫色变种。
游戏强烈暗示龙胆是源氏家族的私生后裔，尤其因为龙胆花也出现在源氏家纹上。
龙胆的部分台词似乎参考了《奴隶少女希尔薇》（Life 与 A Slave: Teaching Feeling）中的希尔薇。
