Running off similar principles as scale armor, this suit has been made from many, many small scales of iron laced into leather with cord, and then lacquered. Lighter and far more flexible than scale armor with proportionally less protection against crushing blows, it's more suited to kitsune and tanuki physiology than any of the Marches' native races.
