Stepping into the blacksmith's tent, 勇者 is taken aback by the sweltering 雌性发情期 inside. Once they've acclimatized, they find Zuzaan pounding a spearhead into shape. When the smith notices 勇者's entrance, she stops and pours a bucket of water over herself and asks if she can help them with something, or better yet -- if they can 帮助她. 勇者 asks her what she needs help with, and she responds with enchanting spearheads--and adds that if 勇者 does a good enough job, she might even 奖励 them. When 勇者 asks for specifics, she pauses, apologizes, and explains that she's been overworked since the 半人马 started going crazy, and she's gotten so that she assumes that everyone knows how her forge works: she crafts with passion. Emotion, she explains, is a powerful force, and she finds the peak of desire best for crafting strong bonds. Rage or another powerful feeling would also suffice, but she prefers to have fun while she works.
勇者 asks Zuzaan if she has the time to talk, or if she's going to work all day. The forgemistress chuckles and says that working doesn't prevent her 来自 talking.

Talk
Zuzaan says, facetiously, that her hobby is getting 怀孕, since Kavi's contraceptives counteract her magic, and her work relies on her feeling good. 勇者 replies that they're not sure getting 怀孕 counts as a hobby, and Zuzaan acquiesces, stating she spends most of her not-forge time helping out at the nursery because she contributes so much to their workload. She can help with breastfeeding the children of hunters who don't have time for it, as these days, she has to get a potion 来自 Kavi in order to stop lactating.
She used to enjoy traveling; she visited Jassira where she hunted a dune Behemoth, and although she didn't manage to kill it, a few of its teeth hang on her greatbow. She liked Bel Carn, especially its hanging gardens, and found it interesting, as a place where people don't worship The Seven. Although she can't travel much now, she says the village has plenty of entertainment, with people like 勇者 around.
She got the injury wyrm-hunting, she explains. She and two 其他 hunters in Jassira went hunting in the Gaovod Mountains, and, unfortunately, they woke the wyrm up before they even realized they were on it. The wyrm split her leg with its serrated tongue, although she didn't notice the injury until she'd already fired arrows into both its eyes. Despite her injury, her hunting 队伍 was able to kill it, and one of the hunters was a healer and helped her, although, she says, the extent of the 伤害 did almost make him throw up. But, she adds, she hardly notices it anymore.
Help
勇者 asks Zuzaan how her magic works. She explains that since she's working with magic, the material of the objects means little, as long as feeling is there for her to draw on. She learned smithing before her mother realized she had inherited a gift for enchantment that hadn't been seen in generations; there may be more efficient methods, but smithing works for her. She's heard 来自 traveling merchants that there haven't been magesmiths since the 诸神之战, and so, she taught herself the craft. 无 of her over twenty children appear to have inherited the gift.
The basic premise of her approach, she describes, is "hammering the overflowing passion of the world into the 武器." The more passion, she adds, the more the enchantment responds. She grins at 勇者, noting they could make good use of it.
With that, 勇者 is able to choose if they'd like to 帮助她, and if so, how.
勇者 is invited to decide how they'd like to help Zuzaan.

Hiring Zuzaan
勇者 can hire Zuzaan to help with Wayfort renovations during A Dragon in the Roost and Wayfort Upgrades.
A 龙 in the Roost
During this 任务, the following option becomes available in Zuzaan's menu:

勇者 asks for Zuzaan's help, who is delighted by the prospect of working on something large-scale and not weaponry. 勇者's options depend on whether they've hired anyone else for the Enchanter or Blacksmith positions already:

If 勇者 hires Zuzaan, she is grateful for the commission and the trust, and, if hired for the Enchanter position, for the 概率 to steal away one of the local studs for a week.
Viviane
If Viviane is in the 队伍, and 勇者 has talked to her about both Enchanting and Zuzaan, another button becomes available when 勇者 approaches the magesmith's tent, giving them the following option before entering.

Viviane explains that the foundations of enchanting are twofold: intentionality, and the application of 意志 to spirit, which she calls essence, but is called "ki" in Kitsuhon.
An enchanter can apply their intention to dead spirits, like she does, which requires 1) that the spirit, in life, had some sort of affinity for the enchanter's end goal; and therefore, 2) a lot of specificity and research. In this approach, as long as the caster does their research, they can use spirits to bind 效果 to 物品, etc, long after those 物品' creation.
Zuzaan, on the 其他 hand, applies her intention to the essence of currently-living things: primarily, herself. To use one's own essence requires an abundance of it, Viviane explains, usually acquired 来自 having lived a particularly interesting life. Zuzaan amplifies her 技能 through 性爱, which gives her another living energy source. Viviane says that she believes this practice--of accessing another living being's ki through 性爱--was brought to Belhar after the opening of Kitsuhon's borders, and became a 标准 of the Empire's magesmiths' approaches.
The effect of enchanting using living essences is twofold: 1) the participants are more tired by the process than the enchanter using dead spirits, but, 2) the result is either a stronger 魔法 item, or an item made more quickly. Viviane says that supposedly many strong 魔法 物品 were made in this manner by orgies at the College of Estelore, but to her knowledge, they have all been lost.
The process allows--since the essence is living, and mutable--the essence, or ki, to be applied to any item--as long as that item, like the living essence, is also mutable: it must be made during the act of applying the enchantment, as opposed to any time afterwards.
This means the requirements for magesmithing are particularly difficult: the magesmith must have an abundance of their own ki, be an expert in their craft, and have the 物理 and 精神 stamina to create while having 性爱. Zuzaan, of course, fits all those requirements.

Pregnancy

Late-Stage 怀孕 性爱
If 勇者 visits Zuzaan when she's 90% through a 怀孕 (roughly 243 days or 40.5 days for Short 怀孕 Mode) and not be within the last 22 hours since 勇者 last visited, they find the forge oddly quiet, and a glance through the door flap reveals that Zuzaan is out.
