After the events of [[Howling in the Dark]], when asked about '''Alraune''' (if she is alive in the [[Wayfort]]), [[Asgeir]] explains that him and the corrupted lupines were a result of them consuming the lycanthorn, which grew due to the [[Alraune]]'s presence.
