Nakano will explain how [[Kohaku]] traded with [[Gianna]]'s caravan but neglected to trade for a weapon hilt that [[Kazuo]] later expressed interest in, and how they've been unable to find the caravan since to purchase it.

To obtain the hilt, you need to arrange a trade with [[Svern]]. Once you encounter the caravan and ask Svern about the relic he will give you a number of options to purchase it.
