==Trivia==
*The Cloak of the Deeps is based on the ''paludamentum'', the ancient Roman military cloak, dyed with the effluvia of murex snails. In silly mode, the item's description makes this explicit.
*The cloak is described as a "deeps" cloak, for the Deeprealms that are home to [[Khor'minos]]. However, "deeps" is also often a way to refer to "DPS" ("damage per second", or damage-dealing players) in RPGs. The silly mode description for the cloak comments that this is strange, since the cloak itself is so obviously tank gear.
*If the Champion's soul is sworn to one of [[The Seven|the Seven]] - [[Lumia]], [[Nareva]], or [[Keros]] - the brooch on the cloak changes to that god's icon.
*Tyrian purple is a historical reference to the natural reddish-purple dye, royal purple.
