Unlike companions, they offer limited to no combat support and rarely contribute dialogue to content that is not related to them. On the other hand, '''Character Items''' are those that travel with the Champion by occupying a slot in their inventory. Their main method of interaction is through the '''Use''' function in the Champion's inventory or while at camp. While similar to followers, there is a distinct enough difference to split the two.
