Alante is a martial mare you first encounter in the [[Foothills]]. She commands one of [[King Kelsaz]]'s legions and a vanguard of their expeditionary forces. When you meet her again in the [[Outskirts]], you learn she regularly does combat in the [[Colosseum]] to both demonstrate her combat prowess and a more personal reason.

You meet her in the [[Foothills]], watching her do battle with and slay a hill giant. Alante greets you once the battle is done, informing you that she is part of [[Khor'minos]]'s expeditionary forces and one of the few people allowed outside with the city in quarantine. You part on amicable terms, and then Alante sets off into the distance until you meet again. 

If you've completed [[Winter City]] and met Alante in the Foothills, you run into her again in the [[Outskirts]]. She's returned to find [[Khor'minos]] under siege, and is working to try and suppress [[Imps|imp]] activity in the [[Undermountain]]. She gives you a token needed to gain access to [[Main Street]], and in passing conversation you learn Alante does battle in the [[Colosseum]] to try and find someone powerful enough to win her hand in marriage.
