Unlike normal [[items]], key items don't take up space in the inventory - they are listed in a separate screen and cannot be dropped. As the name suggests, key items are usually somehow related to quests and dungeons. [[Alchemy|Alchemical reagents]] are technically considered key items but they fall under the [[Reagents]] category.
